Christy McLeod.
Chasing Dreams, One At a time.
& Asking you to Come Along,
for this one.

I gave up social drinking in October 2022, and then my dreams began to expand.  December 2023, I decided I wanted to host, learn to train and raise funds (for Girls Who Leap) through a 1/2 Marathon I'd host for my 40th birthday that June; although I'd never run or attended one, and hadn't run in years.

Then my dream was to run another....then I did 10+ more 1/2 Marathons in less than 2 years.

Somewhere in there I accidentally ended up with a life-changing coach, became friends with world class triathletes and signed up for a 70.3 before I knew how to swim or ride a road bike.  My 2nd 70.3, 9 months later, I took 53 minutes off my time.

My favourite part all of this is that amidst all of this training I am now strong enough to run with Streetfront.  The largest high school Marathon program of it's kind, in the WORLD, located in east Vancouver.  They mentor at-risk youth to run 1/2 marathons & marathons, showing them what it feels like to be a champion, shaping their future paths, forever.  I am careful how I word this here as I never want to brag, but I am SO proud to be apart of 2-3 1/2 marathon runs that they do a year, providing me the absolute privilege of running with these youth as they cross finish lines and grow their belief in themselves.

Inclusive of this I was asked to speak at a youth event and we raised $100,000 that evening!

My dreams of impacting keep unfolding, for I fall into the Para-Athlete category as I am missing most of my right arm, and so I was 1/6 drawn to compete in Ironman 70.3 World Championships in November 2025; approximately 2 years after I looked my Coach in the eye and said, "I signed up for a 70.3, can you please teach me to swim and I guess I need to buy a bike?!"

This endeavour was bigger than me, but as I was chasing dreams along the way, I was inspiring others and including them in races where I watched multiple do their first races and feel what it's like to believe in yourself.  That is my biggest dream of all.  To speak, inspire, motivate, encourage and connect with those who do the same.  This race was an extraordinary catalyst to expand my ability to do so.   But I need your help to continue to expand my reach.  Please consider having me speak in your business, for your athletes or connecting about projects.   I'd love to meet you if you're interested in connecting, expanding, inspiring, having me be on your team.

Dreams don't matter if they aren't igniting or connecting others.  Worlds was a dream that was  beyond terrifying to me, but really, who said terrifying was a bad thing?  Let's keep impacting together.

Behind the Scenes

We always showcase our magic moments.  But I believe Triathlons are called endurance sports, because 95% of it is done out of the spotlight.  I do 8-12 workouts a week. Most of the time I am tired or hungry.  Yes, I am grateful for this gift to focus here, but it's not easy.  I am inviting you in because I can't always know where to go to impact, or who needs to be reminded that they are limitless amidst the training and time it takes to stay strong.  I know we can do more together, I'd love to meet you.
